Less than a month away from the much anticipated but, as yet, unannounced 2009 series. I'm sure that Bruce Allison is very busy rebuilding the Lola
87-90/MS-1 and has not had the time to stir up the interest and get out the news.
So, who's going to the Double Regional, Single National and Faux Flight Race 1 at Fontana (aka ACS) Jan 23-25?
I recall and informal (understatement) that the 2009 Faux Flight Series would be composed of four 4 weekends and that some sponsorship was in the works. The series races I heard were tied to the early Nationals in SoCal and the Pumpkin Run in Oct:
Fontana - Jan 23-25
Willow Springs - Feb 21-22
Buttonwillow - April 4-5
Buttonwillow - Oct 31- Nov 1
Does anybody have a "formal" agreement the number of races (4 or
, points scoring system (9 point, 12, point, 20 point max, or others), other
institutional involvement (sponsorship), bail-out packages to re-start the series, .... ?
