Posts: 125 08/01/08 10:35:26	Tags : None OK, the October Faux Flight event is 90 days away....time to get it on our horizon! Buttonwillow Raceway, October 25/26 with a Friday test day on the 24th. If we get 10 cars (and I think we will), and if we all agree (and we have in the past), I'm willing to put together a ($50 donation per person) "purse" like we did in the good ol' days......spread the $$ through the field depending on qualifying....Diamonds/Emeralds/Rubies kind of deal (The old 4-Flight Crew knows the drill). So, who's up for some S2000 racin' on the West Coast?!?! I know I am....er, at least Kathy is (unfortunately, due to some health issues I've been sidelined for 2008, but the Docs say I'm back in '09!) Here's my straw poll of entrants so far> Kathy A. John Fujii Joe Moran Sterling Ellsworth Doug Ota Bob Lovenson Gary Holcomb Fred Michaels Rob Thompson Ted Guenther Wayne Smith "Lola Bruce" (welcome LB!) In the "maybe" column we've got> David Ferguson Jeff Anderson Paul Rubel So I figger we've got 12-15 cars...NOT BAD!!!...in fact, more like a whoo-hoo!! I'm trying to get our own Sports Racer Group for this race....if there's interest from the xSR folk maybe we can up the entries to 25+....maybe call it the CalClub Can-Am? I'll give it a shot. BA

On a better note, Ellen Ferguson called me to say that David Ferguson will put down his framing hammer long enough to pick up the NorCal S2000 banner that Fred dropped on the ground (sorry Fred), and will bring his purple people eater out to battle Fujii and anyone else who's fast. For your races in October WE will supply trophies for 1st thru 3 rd, plus a hard charger award, and champagne for the Podium, ( ASSUMING Somebody is not already providing these itmes). Normally we are involved with the VINTAGE SCENE, VARA and HSR WEST, IN FORMULA FORD,S2, Supervee, but we love good racing where ever it is.....

Posts: 751 08/06/08 10:15:42	Scott drove Tiga factory supported S2 cars out of the Zephyr Racing shop at Sears Point. That shop morphed into Auto Spa. Steve Raymond was on the Dominic Dobson led Zephyr crew.

Posts: 20 08/07/08 19:00:04	Sounds like good times a coming for the Pumpkin run. I am booked for every Saturday through the begining of next year. Really really wanting to race with you all and was going to play hookie if the gods allowed but ran into a minor TD. SCCA does not recognize a VARA licence. If I applied for consideration of a waiver it was in question. Also a waiver for pro was not listed with SCCA. Playing hookie at ths time from work is a very big risk and I just can not take it on a maybe. Have a great time. Hope to play with the group next year. Bruce
