Friday practice and qualifying was dry with clouds and occasional sun. Sat was fantastic warm and sunny (perfect conditions) and the race was uneventful for me. Sun morning practice was very wet with puddles (lakes), onto rains. Qualifying was dry, cold and cloudy, back to slicks. Sun race was wet, pouring rain and very windy, on rains again. All in all perfect racing conditions. It was my first experience in the wet, the field was very fast, and we had a few issues. Unfortunately, I ran mostly by myself as I was the lone S2 in the field. Thanks to Tom, Bruce, and Les (rain tires) we made all the sessions and I had a great time. So there really aren't any good war stories to tell. The Sun race had a little drama at the start. We came onto the front straight everyone but the front row straining to see the starter throught the rain and spray. When he dropped the green an FA, I think in the second row, immediately spun and collected the wall and started back down the track as the rest of us took evasive action to avoid him. From then on it was more a battle of the elements/track conditions. I missed you guys/gal.
