I wonder if any of one would be interested in tutorials on reading data within a program (AIM, Motec, CDS) with a voice over, and actually showing an
analysis being creating and verbalizing the analysis? Complete with the configurations of plots and using them. These would be a video type of format and
downloadable over the internet.
Recently I have done such an analysis, one of my customers sent me his data and I analyzed it, and commented on the analysis while I did it and sent it back to
him.
He picked up a lot of techniques that might have taken him a few seminars to grab hold of, as it was geared directly to his car, driving and data. It was
just a test of it, though I did notice he picked up very rapidly on analyzing data. Hence the idea.
As someone who started reading data (some 18 years ago) by having a hired consultant on our 1990 S2000 team (Lee Lucas) and watching over his shoulder (Bob
Lobenberg) provided a steep learning curve for understanding data. I feel it would be similar to having this kind of teaching and able to "look" over
a consultant's shoulder to see the techniques in use. Though I had many years of learning from Bob, and was able to attend many races working with him, I
still feel to this day, that was worth more than anything I have read in book or any seminar I've attended (quite a few on data).
In the last year I've been attending mostly club events, rather than the normal pro races I've done annually. I was amazed to find the number of
people who have data systems and don't really use them. I'm very surprised that their are so many? Surprising that even some racers who have attended
seminars on reading data, though getting some use, are just scraping the surface of getting some real good use out of it.
Does anyone think it would something they would be interested in?
Seems to work as a learning tool, and was wondering if their might be a market for it, your thoughts????
